Anissa LOUNES-HADJ SAHRAOUI est née à Alger (Algérie) en 1967. Elle a obtenu son Doctorat de l’Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (INPL) en Biotechnologies et Industries Alimentaires  en 1994, à l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Agronomie et des Industries Alimentaires (ENSAIA) à Nancy. En 1998, elle est nommée Maître de Conférences à l’Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale où elle contribue au développement d’une nouvelle thématique de recherche portant sur la phytoremédiation assistée par les champignons mycorhiziens à arbuscules. En 2006, elle a soutenu son HDR. Elle est actuellement Professeur des Universités au sein de l’équipe Interactions Plantes-Champignons et Remédiation de l’UCEIV qu’elle anime depuis 2018.

Ses activités de recherche entrent dans le cadre général de l’étude des interactions plantes-champignons. Elle s’intéresse principalement aux potentialités de la symbiose mycorhizienne dans le phytomanagement et la refonctionnalisation des sols contaminés/dégradés ainsi que dans la protection des plantes contre les stress environnementaux abiotiques (pollution, sécheresse, salinité) ou biotiques (champignons phytopathogènes du blé responsables de la septoriose et de l’oïdium). Ses travaux, à visée à la fois fondamentale et appliquée, conduits de l’échelle du laboratoire (cultures in vitro et en microcosmes) à celle des sites ateliers (in situ), ont pour objectifs d’élucider la faisabilité technique et les mécanismes impliqués dans les processus de phytoremédiation aidée (phyto/rhizodégradation des polluants organiques comme les HAP, les alcanes, les dioxines ; phytostablisation et phytoextraction des éléments traces) et de biocontrôle des maladies fongiques du blé en faisant appel à des approches à la fois cytologiques, biochimiques et moléculaires. Elle porte un intérêt particulier à l’étude et à la caractérisation du microbiome des sols pollués phytomanagés et au développement de nouvelles filières de valorisation de la biomasse produite sur sols pollués.
