Pierre-Edouard Danjou est né dans le nord de la France en 1986. Il a étudié la chimie successivement à l’Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale (ULCO), l’Université de Glasgow, l’Université de Rouen et a obtenu un diplôme de Master en Chimie Organique et Macromoléculaire de l’Université de Lille 1. Il a poursuivit par une thèse de doctorat en chimie organique et supramoléculaire sur l’« Elaboration de nouveaux fluoroionophores et de supports chélatants en vue de l’amélioration de la caractérisation du fer dans les particules atmosphériques » soutenu à l’ULCO en 2012. Il poursuivra son parcours par un postdoc à l’Université Libre de Bruxelles sous la direction du Pr. Ivan Jabin sur la déméthylation de calix[6]arènes fonctionnalisés.

Nommé Maitre de Conférences en septembre 2013, ses activités de recherches s’orientent autour de la synthèse et de l’étude de supramolécules en vue de la détection et/ou du piégeage d’espèces d’intérêt environnemental. Il s’intéresse notamment au propriétés de reconnaissance des calix[4]pyrroles.
