Pierre-Edouard Danjou was born in the north of France in 1986. He studied chemistry successively at the University of Littoral Côte d’Opale (ULCO), the University of Glasgow, the University of Rouen and obtained a Master’s degree in Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry from the University of Lille 1. He pursued a doctoral thesis in organic and supramolecular chemistry on the “Development of new fluoroionophores and chelating supports in order to improve iron characterization in atmospheric particles “supported at the ULCO in 2012. He continue his career with a postdoc at the Université Libre de Bruxelles under the direction of Professor Ivan Jabin on the demethylation of functionalized calix[6]arenes.

Appointed as Lecturer in September 2013, his research activities focus on the synthesis and study of supramolecules for the detection and / or trapping of species of environmental interest. He is particularly interested in the recognition properties of calix [4] pyrroles.
