The PFAS-in-Air project, coordinated by MADIREL-Marseille, brings together expertise in the fields of theoretical chemistry (L2CM-Nancy), materials science (IS2M-Mulhouse), adsorption (MADIREL-Marseille), heterogeneous catalysis (UCEIV-Dunkerque), and environmental chemistry (LCE-Marseille).
The objective of PFAS-in-air is to develop tools to monitor and eliminate PFAS suspended in the air, in order to limit their spread and contamination of other environmental compartments (soil, water) and reduce human exposure to these molecules.
