The Re-Act project, coordinated by Miriana Kfoury (Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale), brings together expertise in the fields of supramolecular chemistry (UCEIV),
pharmacology (Institut Galien Paris-Saclay), and environmental chemistry (Gdansk University of Technology, Poland). It aims to transform food waste into a valuable resource for the food and cosmetics industries by developing and optimizing environmentally friendly processes based on the principles of eco-extraction and green chemistry.

The multidisciplinary Re-Act project covers everything from the extraction of raw materials to the assessment of the environmental impact of the process, including the evaluation of the stability, toxicity, and biocompatibility of the extracts.
